XPS Gen4 952XE 1024 FSB 3.43 Extreem

I am trying to add a third SATA hard drive. I'm using channel 2 on the MB. I seem to get no response. Channels 0 and 1 work fine. Is there something I need to do to activate channel 2 SATA signal port? Is there a jumper or something.

Did you boot into the bios and (1) see if the drive is recognized there and (2) make sure the SATA port is enabled.

Thanks. It’s been so long since I did anything to this old still amazing puter I just forgot the bios setting and yes it work perfect. Just a note: this Gen 4 with the express chip set and processor can easily hold it's own with top quad cores. I use a 2.8 QC 64 bit HP at work and unless you have software to take advantage of the multi cores it just doesn't perform any better then my G4. My next desktop will be a Dell/Alienware A-51 but I'll wait for more SW to catch up. Again Thanks.
