XPS One Keyboard
After working on a client's XPS One machine, i found that i liked the stock wireless keyboard. It has a good weight and is a lot nicer than other dell media keyboards I have worked with. I can find them online (System Part Number: MU814; Model Number: Y-RBJ-DEL3) but no word on a receiver. Is this a dell part I can order that is somewhat USB? I would not mind having to hard wire or tweak to get one to work for my media center at home.

We are only users helping users on here, not Dell employees. Can't say about Dell parts.

We don't have access to a lot of Dell info, including part numbers - even for us "old timer VIP's" on the forum (one of my complaints). The Dell parts site is set up to work off of the PC's service tag number, so you would need the service tag number of the PC you worked on to possibly get any available replacement part numbers.
The Dell moderator for this section has been on vacation, not sure when he will be back to work. Occasionally the Dell moderator will step into a post and get Dell info such as this.

According to Chris' link, there's a reset/sync button for the keyboard "...on the monitor." So it might not be possible to sync the keyboard with anything other than the intended system.
I suppose if you had a spare wireless base station from some other USB keyboard or USB mouse, you might be able to sync it, but I have nothing factual to back that up... And for all I know, this keyboard is Bluetooth. :emotion-3:

I cannot find it on our website but found it here. It does not mention a receiver?

I thought it might be bluetooth as well, but if it is, then Windows is not showing it in the BT device list.
Thanks for the help guys.

This device is RF. It needs a board from the XPS one desktop. It connects internally through USB. I lost mine. I will post the part number for the XPS one board and the link on how to add a USB port and sync switch.

Sorry about double post.
The link to the guide to make external is www.avsforum.com/.../dell-m2010-remote
The RF board number is TY668.
Dell outsources almost all of their HID devices to Logitech. It will install as a Logitech device. No drivers required for basic functionality
