Can you elaborate please. Which network and which video drivers are not working in XP?? Have you changed the video card? And what network driver are you referring to, as these are on board now. I am not, nor have I heard of others having any issues with XP and the XPS hardware or drivers. Perhaps you have some other problems causing the issue?
I have installed windows 2000 on the XPS. I tried to install the drivers from the resource CD, but they appear to support XP only. I have spent hours hunting down 2 drivers; the lan driver from intel and the video driver from ATI (which requires directX 8 from Microsoft). I have rebooted nearly 50 times and I've only had the machine 6 hours.
Is there a guide of some kind that describes the steps necessary to install Win2k on a XPS (or 8300) system? The biggest mistake I probably made was trying to install drivers before installing the chipset drivers(new to me).
I now have networking and the video driver working. I have no idea what needs to be done for USB, audio, and 1394 drivers.
Clearly your situation is more complicated then you initially led us to believe. Ask a question and get an answer! Unfortunately I have no first hand experience doing what you are attempting, so I won't be of any help. Hopefully though someone else reading this thread may be able to help you. Also try Denny Denhams site, and a fella he refers folks to, Doug Knox, that I have found extremely helpful. Wish you luck.

I am dual booting XP and Win2K.
I have reinstalled XP and XP is fine.
