application failed to start

I recently got a new Dell Dim. 8250. I downloaded some critical updates for windows now I get his message on log on...This application has failed to start because InetClnt.dll was not found. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem. Does anyone know why I get his and what it means?

janetkay63,

The following is from a Web site I located in a search. Hope it proves helpful:

Quick correction: I have Quicken 2003 Premier.

I contacted Quicken on Saturday for the answer, which in fairness I will share. They were excellent in their speed and accuracy.
I will summarize the solution.
0) Ensure that Quicken is uninstalled
1) Find the DATA1.CAB file on the CD in the DATA subdirectory.
2) Right click to expand the .CAB file with WinZip or the Windows utility.
3) Select the missing DLL files to Extract. IPROF32.DLL goes into the C:\Windows or equivalent subdirectory. INETCLNT.DLL goes into C:\Windows\System.
4) Install in Safe Mode. Instructions may be found on the Quicken.Com Website.
5) Success in registering. Do not forget to upgrade to latest version of the software.
6) Success in operations.
