how do I find what speed processor using service tag ?

I punch in the service tag number and all I get for processor info is:

R8306

PROCESSOR..., 80546, CELERON PRESCOTT DESKTOP SOCKET N..., 320, E0

Whats this mean? I know it is a celeron prescott but what speed? What socket?(never heard of an "n")

Thanks

Celeron 320 is 2.4 GHz.  You could also use CPU-Z or some other free program to tell you this kind of information and more.

SR45,

Thanks for the links but the system in question is dead, won't boot.

I tried the manual lookup on the Dell site but they don't break down thier model

numbers or codes or whatever. Or maybe I am just not seeing it.

Thanks,

Mark A.

Peter345,

Where did you find this info if you don't mind my asking?

I have searched high and low on the Dell sight and came up with squat.

Thanks,

I found it with Google.  Intel should have good information on the specs for each processor number (i.e. 320).  OK, I dug it up at Intel.  Here it is.
