Save it to your desktop. Try to uninstall the java that is not working first. Go to "add and remove programs" and remove it. Try to install the fresh java that you saved.
i have tried to uninstall all the javas that have occured under my runtime. it will not let me when i get to java 12( that is what i call it) when i do i get error 1722 and then i get hkey_local_machine\software\javasoft\java runtime environment\1.6.0_15, when i tri to install the new one. so now what

Edit: You can also use Javara to uninstall any Java or leftovers, or try Windows Uninstall Utility
