In Windows 98: Upgrade to the latest version of IE (6.0), and make sure you're running the current version of the MS Virtual Machine.

In general: Start - Settings - Control Panel - Add/Remove Programs - highlet "MS Internet Explorer and Internet Tools," and click Remove. Follow the prompts to Repair instead of Remove, and reboot when prompted.
