Hi,

The system has 4 USB 2.0 ports at the rear side where you can connect a USB keyboard or a mouse. Unfortunately PS2 devices will not connect as ports are not available on this system.

I would suggest you to check with a different USB device like a printer if available on one of these USB ports. You don’t have to install any drivers for the keyboard or mouse.

Refer to the picture below for the ports at the rear side of the system:

Please reply for further queries.

Thanks and Regards

thanks Priyanka but actually I use a USB/PS2 adaptator (a simple connexion wire) which pemits to plug my PS2 keyboard and mouse in one of the USB ports you mentionned

the USB ports work properly since my oiginal USB keyboard, printer and ohers are working

I just want to change m keyboard because one key is out of order

The Optiplex GX320 can use an optional cable to add those ports back.

Which one Depends on which profile version.

Hi,

I would suggest that if you see any unknown device listed in the device manage, please uninstall it and restart the computer to automatically reinstall USB controllers.

If the issue persists, would suggest that you to reinstall all USB controllers available on the computer. Please follow the tseps below:

  1. Disconnect all the USB devices except mouse or keyboard.
  2. Click on Start, type devmgmt.msc in the Search bar and press Enter.
  3. In Device Manager, double click to expand Universal Serial Bus controllers, right click on the Host Controller and click Uninstall and click OK.
  4. Repeat the step to uninstall all items under Universal Serial Bus controllers.

Once done, restart the system and check if the issue is resolved.

Please reply with the results.

Thanks and Regards
