NO.  Pentium M uses totally different socket and chipset.

Socket 479 has 479 pin holes. Although physically similar, the Socket 479 has a different electrical pin-arrangement from Socket 478, making it impossible to use a Pentium M processor in a normal 478 board even though it fits in a Socket 478.

You cannot use CPU's with 533mhz or 800Mhz Front side bus with PC133 SDRAM.  SL7EY is max end of story.

ONLY Specific Models Go in.

Pentium 4 is not enough information.  You cannot use 533mhz or 800Mhz prescott CPUS.  Must be Northwood 400mhz FSB Pentium 4.

Socket 478 CPU's have Pins.

Max CPU AFTER UPDATING BIOS IS SL7EY Intel P4 2.8GHz 512KB 400MHz RK80532PC072512

Changing CPU does not fit into a sound byte. So here are 15,000 words.

You open the cover and Lift  the Shroud.

You then remove both of the retaining Clips on the heatsink.

You may need to slightly twist the heatsink to get it to come off.

Be careful not to bend any of the pins when you remove the microprocessor from the socket.

Bending the pins can permanently damage the microprocessor.

You will also need a Dab of thermal compound to put in the center of the new CPU. Use a wooden stick and leave a tiny dot about half the size of a dime in the center.

You also have to make sure that the PIN1 Triangle lines up perfectly. There may be 3 Dots but there is only 1 Triangle on the CPU.  PIN1 is close to the lever and there are PINS Missing on that corner of the cpu.
