pre installed window games
I deleted the hearts, free cell, etc. Instructions on help say insert disk. Which disk and how am I suppose which file is for the games. I don't want to reinstall everything because of losing files on computers. How do I get these games back on?

It helps to include the computer model and version of windows in a post.
If you have XP, then THIS article should help.

Why did it not work - because the procedure advised in the link Bev provided, is the only way to (re) install the Windows games from the OS disc?
Did you get an error message - or what?
But I take it you're aware that are many other free alternatives of those same games available... or games very similar at least?
Simply Google for (i.e.) free Freecell type games for PC?', 'free Solitaire games for PC?', 'free Hearts games for PC?' etc, for specific games.
But Googling just 'free card games for PC?' will undoubtedly return hundreds of hits to appropriate games.
If you're still unable to get the games of your XP disc, and you can't find the specific games you want on Google yourself, tell me exactly what games/type of games you're looking for, and I'll have a look for you :emotion-5:

Thanks for all the information. I've gotten all games except hearts reinstalled on my computer. That was the one I wanted most..

One or more of these is probably your best bet for a similar game?
Here's one of them: 100% Free Hearts Card Game for Windows.
It may not be the same as the default Windows version, but it is a Hearts game - and it's FREE :emotion-2:
Alternatively... if you desperately want the official/original Windows game, I'd be happy send it to you as an email attachment (zip file)?
Since it's pre-installed with the OS, it won't have any registry entries, so if I simply make a copy of the 'Hearts' folder from my Program Files/Microsoft Games folder, it should work fine at your end too.
You'd just need to unzip the file I send you (use 7Zip if you don't already have a suitable program installed. It's free), then copy the complete folder into your Program Files/Microsoft Games folder - or indeed any location you want, since it's ready to run/doesn't require installation.
If you want me to do that, PM me your email address, and I'll get it off to you ASAP :emotion-21:
