Found this:
"I figured out the exact cause of my problem. Rather stupid if you ask me. I'm not sure how other printer drivers work, but Lexmark installs a service and makes the print spooler dependant on it... someone stopped the service using msconfig.exe and therefore the print spooler couldn't load properly. there goes 10 hours of wasted time... thanks to everyone who helped me out here... the last two posts help me narrow it down and with noonoo's previous suggestions I found the culprit... at least I learned a lot more about services and how they work in groups... stupid microsoft..."
His original problem mentions the same error message as yours.

How do you completely remove the Lexbce Server service? I don't want it on my print server. Anyone have a program or utility from Lexmark to get this done?
Why didn't uninstalling the Dell Printer software remove this service since it was the software that put it on.
Very frustrating.
