random mouse double clicks
Im surprised that no one has found a solution to this problem. And for some strange reason, No one, not the dell help desk, Norton, Geek squad, or the expensive person you call AFTER geek squad, knows what the problem is. Even after a year of searching posts and complaining in different sites, still no results. Only one solution. PC restore. The problem is that the every time you try and click something, the mouse Randomly double clicks, even if you only clicked once. Thats all. That may not be that annoying, but when it comes to playing video games, it is. So I was just checking up on This site if anyone has a solution to this problem? Dell System Specs: (not really needed because this problem happens with desktop computers) Xps 710 Intel Quad Core 4 Gig Ram 32 bit xp Dual 256 Nivida And a physx accelerator

If PC Restore always fixes the issue, then you need to account for what software your loading after the restore that is causing the issue. That is the only way to isolate what is causing the issue.

Aight, I've sent an email to support for this issue but gotten no response.
The fact that i've never had this problem with any other system leads me to believe its a system issue and not a software problem with anything i've installed, since I have the exact same programs on another machine WITHOUT this problem happening.
My mouse is doing the same thing as listed in this thread.
It is very anoying that i can't click on start cause it double clicks. takes me 10 to 11 tries to even bring up the start menu. If i click on anything it opens up 4 copies.
I cannot complete any documents i've been trying to because I cant even select a word or a sentence do to the fact it randomly double clicks.
I have the clicking speed option in the properties set to as slow as it can be, yet nothing helps.
Has anyone figured this out? I'm regretting even buying this system as its less that 6 months old and having stupid issues like this.
I've gone back to using an older PC that I can actually work on.
