system restore

Question

Was having a bit of trouble so went to restore to earlier time, low and behold can't get my system restore to work. Contacted Dell, they suggested I go into safe mode > log in as administrator > accessories > system tools > system restore > and go on from there. Getting same message as got when went through same pases in regular mode. Any suggestions would be appreciated.     Will say thanks now, beforehand.
