upgrading
i have an dell 8700 xps, I am wanting to upgrade to the gtx 960 graphics card and upgrade the power supply. I am wanting to know if this machine will handle those components. I am also wondering what memory speed does this board handle? can i upgrade the memory to the 1800mhz +?
the board: dell inc 0kwvt8 a02
processor: 3.4 ghz i7-4770
power supply: 400 watt

From what I can tell the memory speed is maxed out at 1600Mhz. As for the PSU, you should be fine to install whatever will fit. I did read somewhere that people with the XPS 8700 were having issues with the 900 series Nvidia cards, but I believe Dell came out with a BIOS update for that so I would check for updated BIOS before installing it.
