I just have a general question. What is slic and what does it have to do with the BIOS? I have never heard of and just wanted to know. Thanks

software licensing installation certificate   This is what OEM PC manufacturers use to activate Vista using their SLP key, it is tied to the bios.   A very complex way af preventing piracy of OEM software.
