Download speeds aren't going to be helped by a memory upgrade -- that's a network bandwidth issue, though.

the system was shipped and equipped with 2x2gb and 2x1gb = 6gb, now could i upgrade 4x4gb = 16 gb, is the mainboard modern and capable enough? i assume 16 would be what a pc would have normally today
in your link eg i found those Crucial 4GB DDR3L-1600 UDIMM
CT3462287
CT3453578
CT2347838
thats not a pair but a single one i assume , otherwise it would say KIT OR DUAL or 2x in product title so i have to buy 4x, which would be 140 euro about, does that seem right for a ram update?

If you're not using an SSD for your boot drive, I suggest one.

ssd makes a difference in everyday desktop tasks ? i thought this would not be a bottleneck
