Bootmgr is missing...XPS8500
Hi,
Can anyone help me at all please? I was on my pc just (now using my laptop) and there was a message that popped up saying that the pc had to restart to do repairs to the hard drive.
I restarted and it goes to a black screen saying "bootngr is missing clicks ctl-alt-delete to continue"
I did that but it flashed the dell logo up 3 or 4 times and then repeats the message again

What operating system? It sounds like the hard drive has failed. Run the diagnostics by tapping the F12 key as soon as you reboot. If the hard drive test fails and you are still under warranty, contact Dell for a new hard drive.
