CLI.exe Error on Optiplex 745
I have an Optiplex 745 running Windows XP Professional SP2. It contains a Core 2 Duo E6600, 2 GB of RAM, and a Radeon X1300 Pro all of which came with the PC.
After installing Symantec Endpoint Protection 11.0 tonight, I am receiving the following error at logon:
CLI.exe - Fatal Error
CLR error: 8007000b
The program will now terminate.
All of the drivers loaded on the system are those posted on the Dell support web site.
This is a list of everything from Add/Remove Programs:
- Adobe Flash Player ActiveX
- Adobe Reader 8.1.1
- ATI - Software Uninstall Utility
- ATI Catalyst Control Center
- ATI Display Driver
- Broadcom Gigabit Integrated Controller
- Broadcom Management Programs
- EMBASSY Trust Suite by Wave Systems
- High Definition Audio Driver Package - KB835221
- HP PSC & Officejet 5.3.B Corporate Edition
- LiveUpdate 3.3 (Symantec Corporation)
- Logitech SetPoint
- Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1
- Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 Hotfix (KB928366)
- Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0
- Microsoft Office Enterprise 2007
- Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable
- MSXML 4.0 SP2 (KB936181)
- MSXML 6.0 Parser (KB933579)
- PowerDVD
- Roxio Creator Audio
- Roxio Creator Copy
- Roxio Creator Data
- Roxio Creator DE
- Roxio Creator Tools
- Roxio Drag-to-Disc
- Roxio Express Labeler
- Roxio Update Manager
- SoundMAX
- Symantec Endpoint Protection
- Windows Installer 3.1 (KB893803)
- Windows Internet Explorer 7
- Windows Live Messenger
- WinZip 11.1
- Yahoo! Messenger
Does anyone know what causes this error? Searching using Google shows it is related to the .NET Framework. I would update my driver, but I need one from Dell instead of from ATI due to company policy.
Also, this happens regardless of whether the user that logs in is a local administrator, power user, or restricted user.
