Convert a service tag to an express service code?

I am trying to enter a large number of systems into a database for system tracking.  I have the service tags for each of these in a spreadsheet, but not the express service codes.  Due to the large number of systems, I would like to avoid having to sit down at each PC to manually look up the express service code.  I have heard that there is a mathmatical conversion to apply to the service tag to get the express service code...does anyone out there know of such a formula?  Or is there a tool I can use to plug in the service tag and have it spit out the express service code?  I know Dell used to have this on the support site, but I can no longer find it.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Regards,

Steve

stevetyrol,

Thanks for using the Dell Community Forum.

You might try posting this in the Customer Care section and see if they know how to convert the service tag to the express service code.  I'm not sure if that's available but you can ask.

there is a tool for it. Go to http://premiersupport.dell.com and on the main page click on express service code conversion.

If you log in under each of the service tags in here at support.dell.com--- the express service codes will display under the service tags.
