Here are the drivers for Windows 7 (x32) for the Creative Labs SB0200 sound card.

docs.google.com/.../edit

1) Extract the files from the link above

2) Go to Device Manager

3) Right click on the sound card with missing drivers and select update drivers

4) Find the drivers from the folder named "Creative SB Live! Series (WDM)"

5) As these were built for XP or 2000 you must ignore the warning messages.

6) TADAA!!

One problem is I can't find the driver for the MIDI port or whatever.

Not a problem as I don't need it and no other noticeable harm.

Private Message me if you need help.

Hi,

I have researched and found that the latest drivers available for the onboard sound card are for Windows XP. Let us try and install the XP drivers and Run the program as administrator in XP compatibility mode. This process can also work on Windows 7 operating system. Also please confirm the operating system installed on the computer (windows 7 32bit/64bit).

Download the drivers for audio follow the link mentioned below: http://www.dell.com/support/drivers/us/en/19/DriverDetails/Product/dimension-4600?driverId=K4JGP&osCode=WW1&fileId=2731107785

Please follow the instructions mentioned below:

  1. Download and save the driver installation file on the Desktop.
  2. 2.      Right Click the driver installation file and select Properties/Compatibility Tab. Select the appropriate options in from the list in the following image.
  3. Click Apply/OK
  4. Right Click the file and select the Run As Administrator option to install.

Please do write back to us.

Please confirm the operating system installed on the computer windows 7 (home premium, professional or ultimate (32bit/64bit).

Kindly get back if there are any further queries.

Until you install the CHIPSET r140595.exe DRIVERS its not going to properly enumerate PCI devices like the sound.

Intel 865PE

r140595.exe

For AUDIO install VISTA drivers because there are no WIN7 drivers.

YOU MUST RUN AS  ADMINISTRATOR to install drivers or hardware etc.

Guest accounts cannot install drivers or make changes.

Intel's site will have Windows 7 drivers for the chipset. That's where I got the Windows 7 drivers for my 2350.

Chipset loaded but other files threw up error messages

What are the error messages? What files have you tried so far?

What version of Windows 7 are you using 32 bit or 64 bit?

Press [Windows] and [Pause|Break] on this screen it will tell you whether it is a 32 bit or 64 type operating system.

Next select Device manager to the far left.

Hopefully it should look something like mine.

Go to Sound, Video and Game Controllers

Right click the multimedia audio controller and select Update Driver Software.

Next select browse my computer for driver software

navigate to C:Dell\Drivers where Rxxxxxx is R145551 for 32 bit and R145149 for 64 bit.

Select next, next then finish.
