Desktop Not Receiving Power, I Think

I have a Dell Optiplex SX280 i bought on Ebay. Worked fine, no problem or trouble. Last night (4 days after receiving it) I shut it down normally and went to sleep. This morning it didn't turn on. I switched the power cable with another that was plugged directly into the wall (instead of my surge protector) with no luck. I took the power cable and supply to another outlet without the computer and the light came on orange. I brought the computer over, plugged it in and the light went off, still with no power. 2nd Dell Optiplex to give out on me this month, any ideas? ( ._.)

Btw, it was running Windows XP, Pentium 4 2.80Ghz, 2gb ram

Are any of the four diagnostic lights on the back panel lite?

Are there any 'beeps' and/or error messages?

The Optiplex SX 280, Service Manual, Troubleshooter and Diagnostic codes can be found here,

What colour, is the power adaptor light when it's disconnected?

As the power button LED is a solid Yellow this could indicate a motherboard failure.

There are no lights and no sounds at all. Yesterday all 4 lights were green and today nothing.

It sounds like a power supply issue

Have you checked the Power Adaptor light, what is the reading, Off, Green, or Yellow?

If the above refer's to the power button Light, located on the front panel, then would suggest replacing the power adaptor, as you need a 'Known' working power source to test the computer.
