The sockets between PC133 and DDR are totally different.
The GX260 uses DDR and it does not interleave memory so you can add 1 stick at a time and it wont complain at you.

Maximum Memory 2GB
Memory Slots 2 (2 banks of 1)

You can use DDR400 ram but it will only run at DDR266 max with the appropriate cpu.
Ive seen systems using PC2100 ram in them.

I think though i may have mixed you up!

I know my computer uses PC2100 RAM, it currently only has 256Mb, I wish to add some more, however (this is the bit I think i didnt explain too well), I want to know if I can mix the size of the RAM I wish to add with what I have. I have read that if the system is "dual channel"  and I want to use this then I must add the same size of RAM that is already in place.

So is my system "dual channel"???
