Unable to set BIOS password with DCCU when Password Status = Locked

I am working with DCCU and some WMI scripts testing the update of BIOS passwords on OptiPlex and Precision systems. The password does NOT update if the Password Status setting in the BIOS is set to Locked. DCCU does not appear to have the ability to set this BIOS setting. I've written some WMI code that tries to reset the Password Status value but it fails. Also, wbemtest fails. The value appears to be read/write but must be protected somehow.

Does anyone know how to overcome this limitation?
