Wireless mouse slow

Just got a new Diminsion 8300 with the wireless keyboard and mouse.  The keyboard works fine, but there seems to be a very slight delay with the wireless mouse every so often, and at times it just does not move for a fraction of a second.  Again, it does work, just with a slight delay every so often (actually quite frequently).  I have another wireless mouse (logitech) on my laptop which works flawlessly, and without any perceptible delay.  Is this normal quality to expect from this Dell product?  If so, it is completely unacceptable...anyone have any suggetions?  Thanks.
