blank screen
hi, I have a dell comp and the screen suddenly went blank. It goes on for a split second and then goes blank....yes its plugged in and I also tried to get it to work with my laptop...no luck. Its a flat screen purchased 4 years ago...any suggestions out there..? Thx

When you say it goes on and off do you mean just at startup or all the time? Although 4 years isn't exactly old it could be that the monitor is on it's way out. Have you tried a different cable or connection(DVI for example)? It could just be one of the ports. Any recent software changes or updates?
