dell RT7D20 keyboard stop working

hi all

i have dell  RT7D20 keyboard with PS-2 port i have connected my keyboard  to cpu with usb hub my problem is that it stop working frequently again i uninstall keyboard drivers and reinstall  (windows default drivers) it start working and other problem is that it leave and retype the characters repeatedly

kindly provide me solution

Always include PC model and version of Windows in your posts.

Go into Device Manager and expand the list under USB. Double-click on each USB root hub (one at a time) and then click Power Management tab. Make sure the box "Allow PC to turn off this device..." is NOT checked. Do that for all root hubs and then reboot. See if that solves the problem.

But a USB keyboard, as fireberd suggested, is probably a good solution to the problem.

PS/2 port keyboards with USB adapters can be intermittent, and some will not work at all with the USB adapter.  Also it needs to be connected directly to a port on the PC, not through a hub.   You need to purchase a USB keyboard and connect it directly to a USB port on the PC for reliable operation.
