This typically indicates that there is a problem with one of the PCI cards. Generally, to receive this error, the PCI card must have it's own BIOS or perform some function that is not operating system dependent (some NICs have a boot ROM). From the message, it sounds as if a SCSI controller, or possibly a PCI IDE controller is encountering a problem.

If you have such a card, try reseating it in its slot. If this doesn't work, try moving the card to another PCI slot. If the card still isn't working, disconnect all devices going to the card, and try again. If it still fails, the card is likely bad.

If moving the card to another PCI slot resolved the error, you likely had a resource conflict of some sort, although the PCI slot itself may be bad. Try another PCI card in the slot from which you moved the PCI storage controller card. If this second card works, then it was just a resource conflict.

If disconnecting all devices from the storage controller card resolves the error, it's likely that one of your devices is bad. If you have multiple devices, you can use a process of elimination to determine which is causing the problem.
