optiblex 755 SFF memory maximum
I have two Optiplex 755 SFF running VMware ESX 4.1 with 8GB. I want to extend the memory to maximum
Can anybody clearify this Statement from the product brief:
"Delivers up to 12.8 Gb/s (DDR2 800 dual 6.4 Gb/s) of bandwidth and 8 Gb memory addressability for faster system
responsiveness and support of 64-bit computing"
Does this mean 6.4 Gb/s and 8GB accessability per channel, or is the adressability limited to 8GB over both channels?

OK,
that is the manual.
In other posts someone got 12 gig running!

Perhaps 4 gig modules wehe not available when they print the manual?

According to the Dell manual, 8GB is maximum.

The SFF only has 2 Memory slots.
So 12 gig is not happening on the SFF.

The SFF has 4 memory slots. The USFF has only 2!
So- with 4 slots are 16 gig possible?

Total Ram is 8Gigs Max based on the Intel Q35 Chipset and Unbuffered DDR2 PC6400.
