Participate in the Managing Information Storage - Trends, Challenges, and Options Study!
The EMC Proven Professional Program is proud to sponsor the 6th annual Managing Information Storage – Trends, Challenges, and Options study. This year, the survey asks questions about the explosion of data and the impact of technologies such as storage virtualization and cloud computing as well as the emerging field of data science.
The survey is open to all non-EMC employees in IT management or individual contributor positions. It takes approximately 15 to 20 minutes to complete and individuals have the option to take it anonymously. All answers are held in confidence and used by EMC for research and planning purposes only.
Compilation of this study will be published in May during EMC World 2012. As a thank you for participating and sharing their insights, the first 1000 respondents to complete the survey will receive a 2012 wall calendar (please allow 4 – 6 weeks for delivery).
Previous Studies
The Managing Information Storage: Trends, Challenges, and Options 2011-2012 study confirmed the rapid adoption of virtualization and cloud computing technologies. It found that more than 60% of data will be migrated to a virtualized/cloud environment from a classic data center by 2013. This transformation suggested that organizations need to evaluate the impact of these technologies on their storage, server, networking and other teams, as 55% percent of storage professionals believe that cloud computing requires an investment in developing new or expanded skills.
