Can't change boot order and boot/system password

Hello!

I'm trying to set up an environment for a OSD installation and I encountered two problems:
- I can't change the boot order: The popup shows up just well but I can't change the order of the devices. Furthermore if I try to save the new boot order configuration by clicking the OK button on the popup window the whole page refreshes and I lose all my configurations
- All of our laptops have a boot/system password the user has to enter everytime he starts up his computer. In order to ensure a successful OSD installation I have to get rid / disable this boot/system password. Where can I change this setting inside the DCCU?

My system information:
DCCU version: 3.0.1213
Browser version: IE 8 (8.0.6001)
OS version: Windows XP SP3

Thank you in advance!

Are you trying to create a manual process or scripted process? Lots of people are using CCTK with in a script to disable passwords, then make changes to BIOS settings and then re-enable the password or set the system to boot to PXE.

I'm trying to create a manual process (if that means I'm trying to create a executable file inside DCCU).
As it seams there's no option to change the boot password using DCCU I will check out CCTK to do so.

But I still have problems changing the boot order - is there a solution for that?

Hello , I also want to change on a latitude d6520 and it's not working ..
I have dell configuration utility .1.1230, A00, which i know it does not support this type of laptop (only latitude e6510 ).
At first I thought it can be done because it could't be souch a big difference from e6510 to e6520, but it is not working ...or perhaps I am doing something wrong...the other changes work like bios administration password, except this boot devices and order...What I am trying to do is to set to boot only from cd/dvd and hdd , and disable the NIC..
Does anyone know if there is another version of the client configuration utility that supports latitude e6520 laptops ..
Any help will be apreciated.

Thanks.

You will have to move to the Client Configuration Toolkit (CCTK) for new models (like the E6520) as DCCU is no longer getting updates.
