Dell venue 7 3730 sd card detection issue

Hello everyone,

My Dell venue 7, 3730 with 2 GB RAM is a little picky when it comes to sd cards.

I tried to use a Toshiba Exceria 16GB, SDHC, Class 10, UHS speed 1, micro sd card  but weird things happened. Let me explain.

1. Start the brand new tablet, plug the SD card, check whether it's detected, it is OK.

2. Sleep the tablet then awake, it's still detected. Shutdown the tablet, then power on. SD card is not detected.

3. I remove the sd card and plug in back to the slot. No detection.[:'(]

4. Try my 9 year old, probably no brand 128 mb micro sd card(just micro sd, no hc etc.) tablet detects it right away.

5. Sleep/Shutdown the tablet and power on it's detected without any problems. So slot works.

6. Right after step 5, plug Toshiba micro sD card, it's detected.:emotion-43:

7. Sleep the tablet then awake, it's still detected. Shutdown the tablet, then power on. SD card is not detected.

I checked Toshiba card with a Samsung phone, it's OK.

So I'm confused, is it a compatibility issue or not? What is it?

If it's a compatibility issue is there any comp. list of SD cards for my tablet?

Any help is appreciated.

Thank you.
