E6320 Network Drivers & Docking Station
Already had major problems figuring out what was stopping the blue bar during the xp logo screen. Turns out it was the amt 7 driver.
Anyway, didn't install that and all booting fine.
Put the e6320 on an e-series docking station and again, same problem with the hanging loading screen.
Now after all the rigmarole of starting from a fresh xp install with no drivers, turns out it's the 82579LM Gigabit Network Connection.
Disable the network card in xp/bios or take off the docking station and boots fine. However, when it's enabled and put back on the dock the hanging returns.
Tried the latest drivers, 11.12.38.0 from the Intel website. Also gave the 11.8.84.0's a go (again from the intel website) to check if it was a newer driver problem. Also the 11.8.78.0 from the dell site and downgraded the bios to A04, but alas no difference.
I can boot into safe mode and safe mode with networking, so there must be something that doesn't load in safe mode that does in a normal boot.
Anyone have any ideas as i am totally stumped!
Cheers

I haven't seen your issue, but if it is only with one system, you should contact tech support and have them evaluate it. Contact info is here

Thanks for your reply.
We purchased 2 e6320's a couple of months ago, they imaged fine using MDT and the drivers from the dell site and work without problems when docked.
We recently purchased 10 more and due to not being able to connect to our MDT deployment share, had to import updated WinPE drivers into MDT in order to connect when
PXE booting. Not having to do this on our initial batch leads me to believe something to do with the nic has changed...
I've tried 4 of the 10 so far and have the same problem on all :(

Managed to get this sorted in the end.
Disabled the Parallel Port and Serial Port options in the BIOS and booting whilst docked hasn't been an issue since.
Woo!
