Issue updating new E6420 BIOS silently
I've been trying to update the BIOS on our 6420s using E6420A03.exe /s /f and then reboot via script. For some reason, when I reboot the BIOS update doesn't get applied. However, when I do E6420A03.exe /s /f /r, which forces an immediate reboot, the BIOS does get updated. From everything I've read, not using /r and doing a manual reboot should work. Any ideas?

After the reboot nothing happend. I need to run this from a task sequence during SCCM OSD without reboot. I am using the same method with older models (6400,4300,6410,4310 ...) and everything is working ok.

Thanks for the confirmation of A05 addressing the issue.
