QuickScanPro: filters (barcode) and features (view)
At the moment we use QuickScanPro 4.6 (build 8125), Production Level with a Fujitsu fi-5900 C scanner (VRS-board [VRS 4.2], USB interface).
I have the following questions on QuickScan:
1) Is it possible to divide the main window, so that the scan-operator is able to see as well the front-side as the back-side of every sheet. If not, is there another way to see front AND back side during scanning (e.g. thumbnail size much greater than 64 x 88)?
We can`t believe that with a scan client like QuickScan it should not be possible to display 2, 4 or 8 images at once. This problem is even worse if you use a Kofax VRS board, because then in duplex mode the front pages are only visible for milliseconds (what means in practice unvisible). We read already help file in QSP but couldn`t find anything about that topic.
2) A barcode-filter is integrated in QSP. We experienced that the filter doesn`t work in combination with the following settings:
2a) 240 dpi, duplex, scanner-maximum, output = TIFF binary (CCITT Group 4)
2b) file naming schema: Barcode Text 1 – Directory Separator 1 – Barcode Text 2 – Static Text 1 - Sheet 1 – Side Differentiator
2c) BC-Detection: BC-Detection = I25, Horizontal, Decode Symbol, 1 Zone [Percentage]: Top = 40, Left = 30, Width = 40, Hight = 12
2d) BC Naming Options: discard both sides, if no BC use previous, if multiple BC prompt for list, if invalid prompt for file name
2e) Job Separation Settings: allow BC filtering = yes, filter = “00360*”, separate when BC value changes = yes, Detect… see 2c), when BC found discard both sides
2f) NO Image Processing, NO Batch, NO Export, NO Index, NO OCR
We suppose that the filter doesn`t work in any case. The question is why, maybe we use wrong settings?
Do you have an explanation for our problems?
Many thanks in advance for your help!

Try the following:
You may also refer to the Startup guide and the latest release notes of the product.

Hi,
Thanks for the information, but we knew already how to make the thumbnail window "Floating" or "Docking". To help you understanding what funktion we need please see the following picture:
I hope now our problem is clearer.
Many thanks in advance for further answers and ideas!
