Best way to Backup FS7600 containers / data
hello
is there a way to backup the data in a container CIFS " FS7600" in backup exec as a file server not using NDMP protocol ? since i;m having issues with NDMP it connects and reads the data but fails to write the data to disk because of the NDMP user account "backup_user" does not have write access to the share and the account is not member of the windows domain.

can you explain more how to mount that cif share to the BUE server? like a mapped drive you main ?

Hello,
You should be able to mount that CIFS share to the BUE server and back it up directly.

i thought backup exec does not support backing up mapped drives

You would have to double check with them, it has been awhile since I've used BUE.
Otherwise you can install the Backup Agent on a server mounting that share and back up to the Media server that way.
