Equallogic PS100 GUI keeps crashing

We've got a Equallogic PS100 unit that I'm unable to manage at the moment.  The GUI crashes within 10 seconds of logging in.  Has anybody come across this problem?  I'm running the latest version of Java on that computer connecting to the SAN.  I'm also running firmware version V4.3.4

The unit currently does have one fan failure on one of the power supplies.  Is is possible that the unit is booting me because of that power supply failure and it's protecting itself?

Please try a computer which runs java 6.035 or so and not 7.0 and report.

Do you have a system on the network that is not at the latest version of Java? I have seen a number of times that latest version doesn't always play nice. Are you able to log into the array vis CLI with no problems?

That worked like a charm!  I degraded the Java to version 6 and it's stable now.  Wow! I can't believe the new version of Java was making it crash, but then again it's Java :p

Thanks guys!!! Very much appreciated!!! You guys were spot on!

Oracle made many changes in 7 that have caused a number of compatibility issues.

If you still have a support contract for that array, I would upgrade it to at least 5.2.5.  There are many improvements since 4.3.x.

5.2.5 has the same problem with Java 7 update 7.

FYI: My comment about 5.2.5 wasn't meant to imply it would work with Java 7.  instead that is the minimum revision that any Dell EQL array should be at.   6.0.1 should work with Java 7.
