Equallogic PS6010XVS Secondary Controller temp

Hello,

We're having an issue with our PS6010XVS Equallogic SAN regarding one of the controller cards.

It's constantly reading a high temperature (around 150 degrees Fahrenheit)  and refuses to come down unless we unplug the controller and let it sit. So far what we've done to try to resolve the issue is change out the thermal paste on the CPU.

Has anyone else had this issue?

We're looking at replacing the CPU fan or checking the air flow to see if there's anything blocking air movement. From what I can see though, the san should have sufficient space, as the primary controller hasn't chirped about overheating at all.

Hello,

I would check the fan, but it could be a defective component drawing too much power,   You'll likely need to replace the CM.

Don
