SMTP Servers settings in EQL - Bug?
Hello all,
with gropu manager, I created a e-mail event notifications, but I found there is a strange thing, mabye a bug, not sure.
I input my exchange 2010 casarray IP Address into the "SMTP servers", but I found that EQL can't ping the address, actually, logged in EQL, I can ping each exchange cas member, except the array address. why?
I can ping the casarray address from every windows 7, 2003, applicance.
Anybody help me?
my firmware is V6.0.1L1

If you are trying to ping the Group IP address FROM the EQL array, that will never work.
So from the exchange servers, can you ping every EQL member port IP address and the Group IP address?
From the EQL array you can ping the CAS members but not the CAS cluster alias correct?

Yes, correct.
so, I should change the IP to one member of my CAS, right? what a pity.

You can put in more than one IP address in the SMTP server list.

Thank you Again.
I've been struggling with this issue until getting to your post.
i wouldn't figure it out without this tip. changed to node's ips and works.
