i'm sure it will run older games without too much issue. hyper-memory means that it's using a mixture of dedicated and shared system memory though -- just something to keep in mind.
Honestly I'm having mixed feelings about this card. It runs Maplestory... but it can't seem to run any emulators. Any emulators ran on my system and my gf's system on this card has bad horizontal fuzzes running across the screen. For a 2200 laptop. I expected much better. I have a friend with a Inspiron 6000 with the integrated dell graphics and it could run the emulators. I hope this can be fixed if not I wonder if I should complain or not. :(
After failing to get new drivers on the ATI website I went and found 3rd party drivers for the card from Omega and it fixed all my problems. The x1400 isn't as bad as people say it is after all. The drivers were the culprit. After looking at the benchmarks online the x1400 isn't too bad a card. It's also been able to handle everything I throw at it. Unreal 2004, CS, Halo, Starcraft, Maple Story, and pretty much every emulator, granted changing to Omega drivers made all the difference in the world.
okay so can you buy this graphics card sepratley anywhere else with out the laptop because i already own a e1505 and i thought i wasnt going to be gaming but in the end i am so anyone know where?
