AC Adaptor LED goes off when plugged into laptop

Question

I have a Dell Inspiron N5110 that is about 2.5 years old.  Recently, when I plug in the ac adapter, the green LED on the charger goes off and the battery does not charge.  I have tried other ac adapters and the same thing happens.  This occurs if the battery is in the laptop or is out of the laptop. Is there any remedy besides replacing the main board?  Where can I find one and how much does this cost?

Elijah - Many thanks.  Your diagnosis was spot on and with the video you posted it took about 30 minutes to replace. Computer is back in business.
