Ascii Code on Laptop

Found it! 

 

a)  First of all, know the 3 digit ascii code you want to enter.  If not sure, and using MS Word, click on Insert, then Symbol.  When the box comes up, (a) make sure you select "Ascii (decimal)" in the "From" box in the lower right; (b) find the symbol in the main box you want to insert and click on it, (c) the 3 digit ascii code will appear in the Shortcut box -- to the left of the "From" box

 

b)  Turn on NumLock

 

c)  Press Fn and Alt simultaneously and hold (left hand)

 

d)  Enter "0" (the numeral on the M key, not the letter O) and the 3 digit ascii code (right hand)

 

e)  Release; turn off NumLock.
