Audio Device not configured correctly

I have recently downgraded our new Latitude E5500 laptop to Windows XP. I have downloaded all of the appropriate drivers from the support site by the service tag. I have installed the chipset drivers first but the audio device is still not configured properly. In device manager I get under the Other Devices Audio Device on High Definition Audio Bus Location 65535 device is not configured correctly Code1. I have installed the IDT_92HDxxx-HD-Audio_A06_R213367.exe file along with trying the DRVR_WIN_R213367.exe file.

This is the last device that is not configured correctly.

Any ideas?

After doing a lot more searching I have found that the missing drivers were actually apart of the video driver installation for the High Definition Audio HDMI even though there is no HDMI connection on the laptop. I have now determined that you do not follow Dell's installation order that they have stated and you install drivers in the following order:

  1. Chipset
  2. Audio Drivers
  3. Video Driver
  4. Everything else

Beauty - I was about ready to pull my hair out re-installing audio drivers.  Reinstalling the video driver did the trick for me, too.

I guess the HDMI connection makes sense, as it's available on the docking station.
