BIOS HDD Password. Warning 'Prompt' & Security
Hi,
When setting ATA-Security-Password 'HDD Passoword' in BIOS, i receive a Warning Prompt that reads as follows.
"This hard disk drive supports Security Erase. If you enable this feature and then unlock the drive using Dell supplied recovery password all data on the drive will be erased and cannot be recovered. Do you want to enable Security Erase for this drive?"
[Yes] [No]
When Prompted i proceed with 'Yes', i have several questions maybe you can help? : )
1) By clicking 'Yes' does that make it so that i can erase HDD 'Security Erase' by entering 'Dell Supplied Password' during boot up prompt to unlock the drive?
2) How do i obtain this 'Dell Supplied Password'?
3) Is the 'Dell Supplied Password' Unique to the BIOS Service Tag, Laptop Serial Number, HDD or is it Universal?
4) If i say 'No' to the prompt does that mean i will not be able to Secure Erase my HDD via e.g,
'hdparm command'
'time hdparm --user-master u --security-erase PASSWORD /dev/X'
even if I do set HDD Password and i execute the above command with my HDD Password?
5) how do i prevent being victim to someone that has stolen my laptop and uses the website posted on the link below?

I believe i have asked enough question's regarding my concerns, all help & knowledge is greatly appreciated!
Thank You!
