BIOS Update [Latitude E6430] Fails to Run / Install

After seeming to recall that I needed to step up to A11 on an E6430, I updated the unit in question from A03 > A07, without issue.  However, when I went to bump it up to A09 (in preparation for A11), the process ran, but then only rebooted.  I tried it again...same result.  Thinking that I was missing something, I ran A11.  The result was the same!?  Each attempt would process without question / complaint, only to then reboot the system.  :emotion-12:

I then attempted to reset the BIOS to the factory defaults.  I noted a change...but it didn't appear to have reset everything!?  :emotion-40:

SOLUTION:  Pop the cover, disconnect the CMOS battery for about 10 minutes, and then reapply the update(s).

I also believe that whenever the TrustedInstaller user account takes ownership of the entire C:\ drive, certain applications fail to execute. Changing the ownership to the Administrators group, and pushing the permissions all the way down the tree, the BIOS installer finally worked as expected. I presume it was unable to write to the hard drive during the installation, and therefore failed.

I can only confirm that after changing the ownership and permissions of my hard drive, the BIOS installers worked.
