One question from you, Can you use 11.1V replacement battery in place of 10.8????

Does it work 11.1V in replacement of 10.8 technically???????

I have an Inspiron 1545 too - 18 months old

Original battery: Type GW240 / 14.8V / capacity 28Wh => can be replaced with RN873,GP952,M911G,X248G(according to the information on the label)

If we have the same model and the same mainboard specifications it would mean that our laptops can handle at least 14.8V and 10.8V batteries. To make this work either the batteries come with some electronic built-in intelligence or use different pin assignments to let the mainboard know to adjust its charging characteristic.

As always- it's a guessing game - the difference between 10.8V and 11.1V might seem small but Li-Ion batteries are lethal weapons if not handled properly......

By the way - 155$ for a battery is totally unacceptable.
