Blue screen error Stop : 0x00000124
Can sombody help me with this blue screen error.
I have a studio 1558 laptop with windows7 operating system. Whenever i am working the laptop suddenly goes off showing the blue screen error and restarts on its own. Previously it used to happen only when i used to watch videos or play games. Now it happens even if i am doing nothing.
Just recently the dell technical support replaced my motherboard, RAM and HDD too and also reinstalled windows 7. But I am still facing the same problem.
Hope someone can help me out.
Swati.

hi Royan, Thanks for responding and Sorry for the late reply.. was out of station..
I carried out the PSA. The error code I got was "keyboard not found" when I continued the test , at the end of completion I got the msg that "PSA completed. Utility partition disk not identified".
But the thing is.. when I work on my laptop in normal mode the keyboard is working fine. So dont know what exactly is wrong.
Swati.

hi Royan.. Already done that.. All my drivers and Bios are updated : (
My laptop starts dumping the memory within 5-10 mins of starting......Another thing I forgot to mention is my laptop is becoming very hot within 15-20 mins of use.. Is it because I am restarting it frequently after the dumping?

The detailed error code is
Stop : 0x00000124
Parameter 1 : 00000000 00000000
Parameter 2 : fffffa80 04de4028
Parameter 3 : 00000000 b2000000
Parameter 4 : 00000000 00010005
Does this help?

The WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR bug check has a value of 0x00000124. This bug check indicates that a fatal hardware error has occurred. This bug check uses the error data that is provided by the Windows Hardware Error Architecture (WHEA).
You could try complehensive hardware checking. if you want a look yourself. Or maybe use one of the tools on this page under hardware testing tools.
But to be completely honest i would phone dell again. They may have fitted faulty parts. Maybe Memory or motherboard which is also causing over the heating.

Hi Swati,
I agree with Chunk, its a faulty hardware that is causing this. I would suggest you call Dell Technical support in your region, to have this fixed. Also mention about the system heating up, that will help narrow down to the problem.
Thank you

Final solution here by Gandhi Institute For Technology, Bhubaneswar, India.
If you are using two RAMs, remove one and problem solved.
