Bluetooth Software - where is it? XPS M1330
I've just tried to start up Bluetooth so that I can connect a device and I'm being promted to insert my Bluetooth software. Which of the original disks that came with the XPS contains this software or is there a download I can access from Dell.
Thank you.

But,alas, it didn't work. I'm getting an absurd loop of messages on trying to install it including an annoying message that it will only work on Vista (and then it terminates). I DO have Vista. I just want to synch my mobile phone, something I've never had a problem doing on prior computers. This is the second device on my XPS that is either faulty or not installed right (I gave up on the finger scanner long ago, but I don't care about that - Bluetooth I do care about). Love the size of the XPS but little else.
Anyway, thanks for help in locating the software.
Best,
Harry

We have a new XPS M1330 (shipped 17 Feb 2008) in the family.
The bluetooth software was installed by the factory.
In Vista's Programs and Features, we have this entry...
WIDCOMM Bluetooth Sofware 6.0.3100 (Dell)
You can download the Bluetooth driver for your computer here...
http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/driverslist.aspx?
We haven't tried connecting to any bluetooth devices yet, however, bluetooth appears to work, at least the LED and icons are there.
There is a switch on the right side of the M1330 near the front that enables/disables wireless (WiFi & bluetooth). There is also an option in Quickset to enable/disable bluetooth. As I recall (from memory), when enabled the bluetooth icon appears as blue and red; when disabled, the bluetooth icon appears as blue and white.
I installed BIOS A09 (our M1330 shipped with A08).
We are having a problem with the power management + standby + mouse.
I enabled "USB Wake Support" in BIOS (default = disabled)
Have tried both Logitech and Microsoft mice. Cordless and Corded.
Vista and latest Mfgr. drivers. Have you experienced any problems of this sort?
Hope this info helps a little,
Lilla
