Boot from CD/DVD with UEFI
I found a very helpful Dell article here:
This works just fine on my new Dell Inspiron laptop, but I'd like to know if this works on all PCs with UEFI or just Dells. The part that says add this to the boot sequence:
Example: "PciRoot (0x0)/Pci (0x1F, 0x2)/Sata(0x3,0x0,0x0)/CD" in particular makes me wonder. Anyone know? TIA

No such thing as all bios all vendors all versions always forever matching and working.
PciRoot (0x0)/Pci (0x1F, 0x2)/Sata(0x3,0x0,0x0)/CD is that model dell specific.
Secure Boot ONLY works with 64 bit media and only with 8 , 8.1 , or 10 or Ubuntu 12.04.5.
F12 booting Win7 requires CSM and Legacy Boot. MBR Grub DOS booting is not available only GPT booting with WIN7 64 bit. 16 and 32 Bit versions of the software DO NOT and WILL NOT ever boot.
