Can't find driver for an unknown device (hardware ID in post)

I can't seem to find the driver for this unknown device. It's hardware ID is:

ACPI\VEN_NXP&DEV_5442

I've tried googling it and the few results don't have an answer. Anyone know what driver this belongs to?

I should've given more info, my bad.

This is an XPS 12 running Windows 8 Pro. I also installed the "Intel Lynx Point Chipset Driver" from the Dell drivers site thinking that was it, but nope. I'll try the other 2 chipset drivers in that category.

my guess is you need the chipset or USB drivers for your system

Did you update to Windows 8 or something?

What's your Laptop model and OS (32/64bit)

Hi MattC7,

As Paul correct mentioned, try installed the chipset driver from the following link http://dell.to/169pThY. Install all the drivers listed under Chipset.

This XPS 12 is model 9Q33, not 9Q23 which is what you linked. I installed all the chipset for the 9Q33 model and it's still there.

I also booted in safe mode to see if maybe it wasn't a hardware device causing it, but it still showed up in safe mode.

This could also be a communications device ie Bluetooth / WiFi. So look under Network also
