Complete Care Warranty Question - Damaged Battery!!!

Hey everyone,

I've got a question about the Complete Care warranty... I've been getting it for my devices in the past and had to use it once when I spilled coffee.  I was talking to one of my friends who says that complete care doesn't cover ALL damage done accidentally.. and i'm not too sure if he's right.  the thing i'm concerned about is batteries. i know they have a 1yr warranty and not covered as they are consumables.  but what if it gets damaged?  does the complete care accidental warranty override that and Dell would replace it, or would it have to be paid for?  I'm contemplating whether or not it's worth it to get the warranty in the future and if things like this aren't covered, i don't know how much sense it makes.  I tried reading the fine print but it just made me more confused.  SO MANY EXCEPTIONS!!

Apparently Complete Care means nothing, in the last year I´ve had only problems with warranty issues.... and now my brother is having an issue with the battery too, he has to buy a new one....since the complete care warranty doesnt cover it...

 

I don´t know what is going on with dell, I have been a fan of their laptops and customer service above all for years, now there are flawed designs just like the fraud the studio xps 1330m was, or the heatsink problems in all studio laptops, and the costumer service is rocketing down ...

 

totally dissapointed of dell in the last 2 years, there is no other polite way to say it..:emotion-12:

No manufacturer covers batteries for more than 12 months, regardless of any extended warranty you may have.

What does a costume service have to do with Dell?  Dell sells computers - not costumes.  For those, see your local haberdashery shop.
